Ayseabla Pre-School and Elementary Schools were founded in 1946 by Nermin Hızıroglu, one of the most dynamic women in the history of the Turkish Republic.
Having completed her teaching training in America, Hiziroglu returned to Turkey and started a radio program called 'Children's Hour', where she used the name Ayse Abla. Many listeners liked what they heard; and asked her to establish a school.
As a result, Ayseabla Pre-School, and then the elementary school came into being in Ankara. By 1984, Ayseabla had established a secondary school and had acquired college status, providing education to pupils at all levels.
The schools, which recently obtained the TS-EN-ISO Quality System Certificate -the first of its kind in the world-became part of Baskent University in August 1999.As a result, Baskent University now offer a complete program of education, from pre-school to university levels.
