The Geriatric and Psychosocial Rehabilitation Center was established in association with Başkent University in 1997 in Ankara. This is a multifunctional unit that has facilities to provide special care and dialysis.
The center aims to rehabilitate various geriatric patient groups: those with treatable geriatric disorders who require care and education; cancer patients, especially those in the terminal stages; those with orthopedic problems, such as hip fractures; those with neurologic disorders, such as hemiplegia, caused by cerebrovascular accidents and spinal cord injury; those with rheumatologic conditions, chronic renal failure, other chronic systemic diseases; and patients during post-operative convalescence.
